Sylvia is a PhD student in the group of Matthijs Verhage. She studies the cellular properties of different STXBP1 disease variants in human (iPSC-derived) neurons to understand the molecular mechanisms related to STXBP1 encephalopathy. In her research, she uses a variety of lab techniques like qPCR and cell imaging.
